Loose Women star Denise Welch shrugs off Ofcom backlash in swimsuit

Loose Women presenter Denise Welch wowed her followers on Instagram as she struck a pose in a plunging black swimming costume during a sun-soaked cruise to Greece

Denise Welch wasn’t letting Loose Women’s recent Ofcom complaints get her down as she flaunted her dynamite figure in a clinging swimsuit.

The presenter has headed to Greece for some sun, days after it was revealed the broadcasting watchdog had received 263 complaints over a discussion about the Royal Family on her ITV show. And she looked as if she’d left it all behind her as she struck a pose on deck.

A snap posted on Instagram showed Denise in a racy black swimming costume with a head-turning plunge. With her feet in black wedges and one knee bent, she had perched on the back of a chair for the gorgeous snap.

The star had painted her nails red to match her lipstick and looked seriously glam – as well as way younger than her 65 years – as she threw her head back and rested one hand on her tummy. “Yes it’s the perch comfortably on the edge of the chair moment!!” she quipped, adding the hashtag “#rhodes” to her post.

“Hot mumma,” one fan branded the TV presenter after she uploaded the sizzling image, as another said Denise was a “stunner”. “You are the most beautiful Queen of The Ocean,” gushed someone else, as another admirer dropped a string of fire emojis.

One fan wrote: “You never miss Denise! This pose is everything.” “Omg you look so slinky… wish I looked like this,” confessed another.

Somebody else said the TV star was “a babe”. “Oh my goodness Denise, you look lush hun!!!” said someone else.

Loose Women came under fire from viewers earlier this month for the episode that aired on May 6. The instalment saw Denise defend Prince Harry and Meghan, which led to a clash with guest Dickie Arbiter, who was previously press secretary to the late Queen and King Charles.

During the chat, Dickie ,mentioned Harry’s memoir, Spare, and also declared: “[Prince] Harry has been rubbishing the family since he walked out in 2020.”

But Denise countered: “Do you not think there is a reason why [he] did such a thing? ” She then cited experiences from Prince Harry’s life, including his mother Princess Diana’s death when he was just a child.
She later went on: “Then he has a wife who is continually trashed by the media, including your good self, if I may say – when she is on a world stage, doing a lot of good for a lot of people.” “I am just sick to death of the bashing that this woman gets,” she said.

After the complaints started coming in, Denise posted a message on Instagram about Meghan, saying she was “appalled that this woman is abused and berated by the public and media on a daily basis”. “Not many people could mentally cope with the hate she contends with,” she said.
No wonder her husband took her away and despite everything they are thriving. Their reception in Nigeria has been wonderful to see.”

She added: “Last week I defended them against one of their detractors on TV and received 103 complaints from Ofcom!!! Good. Also utterly pathetic.”
