Anya Taylor Joy in nude dress pierced with metal for most ‘dangerous’ look yet

Hollywood starlet Anya Taylor-Joy recently walked the red carpet wearing a head-turning look featuring see-through fabric, a huge headdress and a gown made of metal arrows

Anya Taylor-Joy has divided the internet with her most recent red carpet look.

The actress stepped out to celebrate Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’s premiere in Australia and all eyes were on her as she worked the cameras while covered in tall metal spikes. Joy wore a nude illusion dress covered in metal chains and pendants, with a low back as she peeked over her shoulder at the paparazzi.
Sticking out from her gown were countless metal spikes made to look like arrows, all along her waist and down the skirt. To accessorise, Anya wore a matching headdress with arrows sticking out from every direction and a pair of clear kitten heels.

Her hair was nowhere to be seen as it had been tucked underneath her headdress, while her face was adorned with dewy makeup including flawless base, black eyeliner and nude lipstick. The eye-catching look, which was styled by Ryan Hastings, was featured in Paco Rabanne’s SS96 collection, the year Anya was born.

The Furiosa instalment, which is a prequel to the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road, is set to hit theatres May 24 and stars Taylor-Joy alongside Chris Hemsworth. The upcoming film is a post-apocalyptic action adventure and reportedly follows “the origin story of renegade warrior Furiosa before her encounter and team up with Mad Max”.

The film is co-produced and directed by George Miller, who co-wrote the film with Nico Lathouris. It is set roughly 20 years before the events of Fury Road as the world falls apart around the main character, Furiosa, played by Anya Taylor-Joy.

She is taken from the Green Place of the Many Mothers and by the biker gang, where she is left to plot her way back home. The film was shot in New South Wales.

Anya was born in Miami and raised in Buenos Aires and London before she left school aged 16 to pursue acting. Her breakthrough role was in The Witch back in 2016, before Split, Glass and Thoroughbreds in the years after.
She has also starred in Peaky Blinders and The Queen’s Gambit.
