Emmerdale star Sammy Winward has reportedly ‘disowned’ her daughter after she sold adult snaps online.

The Katie Sugden star, 38, has reportedly fallen out with her 19-year-old daughter Mia Dunn after she start flogging X-rated snaps and videos online. However, some fans have pointed out this could be hypocritical due to Sammy’s past.

Back in the day, Sammy posed in her underwear for the likes of FHM during her soap reign and was ranked in their Top #100 Sexiest Women. However, Page 3 icon Nicola McLean has said this is “totally different”.

Nicola posted a poll on her Instagram Stories on the weekend to ask what her followers would do if they were faced with the same issue and if they would ‘disown’ their child. She revealed 82% would not ‘cut ties’ with their kids.

Talking about the response, Nicola, 42, exclusively told Daily Star: “Most people said they wouldn’t disown, which I agree with, because I think we don’t have to love their choices, but we have to love them. But that being said, I really can understand why you would want to, not disown exactly, but why you’d be so disappointed that you wouldn’t be able to speak to them.

“And I think that by looking at Sammy’s daughter’s Instagram, she did a video of herself over the screenshot of the newspaper clipping, saying ‘When you get clout for being disowned’. So she’s obviously caught in the attention.

“I can understand why you’d really want to give them a shake and be really cross with them. But I had one woman in my DM saying, ‘No, I wouldn’t disown and actually I told my teenage daughters, if they want to do it, I’m fully behind them. I wish that I could’. And I was like, I was like, ‘Really? That’s really interesting. So you would encourage your daughters to be porn stars? Because underwear pictures don’t sell, so they are actually being porn stars on their own site.’

“But still, regardless, they’re selling their selling sex. And by the looks of it, Sammy Winward’s daughter is selling explicit content, it isn’t just underwear.”

The I’m A Celeb star continued: “Sammy did lads’ mags at the same time I was doing glamour, but she only did lingerie, so it doesn’t make Sammy a hypocrite, as Mia’s profile isn’t just that.

“Sammy was still semi-covered up, very sexy, but covered up. Even Holly Willoughby was doing those snaps back then, everyone was. You can’t just look at it and go, ‘Her mum’s been a hypocrite because she did underwear’.

“Her daughter isn’t just doing underwear, it’s a totally different thing. And that’s why we need to educate people on OnlyFans.

“I did Page 3 and went topless, which I see nothing wrong with, but would I have a problem with my daughter sucking d*** online? Yeah, I would. I’d be mortified and I’d be horrified, and I’d be really upset at the fact that I know they will regret it.

“That’s the hard thing as a parent, and I’m sure that’s what Sammy and Mia’s dad are going through at the minute. But you know, if she really is earning £30k a month, I’m sure that will soften her blow.”
