MY MOM STARTED DYEING HER HAIR A BRIGHT PINK AFTER TURNING 70, AND I DON’T LIKE IT.
Ever since my mom turned 70, she’s been dyeing her hair this bright pink color. I’ve tried to gently suggest that it doesn’t really suit her and that she might look silly, but she just laughs it off and says it makes her feel young and vibrant.
I can’t help but cringe every time I see her, wondering what people must think when they see an elderly woman with such an outlandish hair color.
Should I keep trying to talk her out of it, or should I just let her enjoy herself, even if I think she looks ridiculous? Has anyone else had to deal with a parent or grandparent making such bold style choices? How do you handle it?
