A single mother welcomes an abandoned newborn baby, unaware that she is her son’s biological sister.

When a woman’s marriage suddenly ended, she was in her early thirties and had no idea what she wanted with her life.

Katie Page moved to a new home in Colorado and changed careers, but she was still unhappy — until she received an email from her sponsor.

Inquire about Katie’s interest in childcare. Katie previously suffered from infertility and was researching adoption, so she decided to learn more about adoption.

She started attending adoption sessions and soon realized that this was the right path for her. After that, she took care of four more children before deciding to adopt them.

I discovered the story of a 4 day old with no name who was dropped off at a nearby hospital in 2016.

Katie fell in love with this little boy whom she named and greeted Grayson. Baby Grayson stayed with her for about a year and Katie named him Grayson.

She adopted Katie Grayson when he was 11 months old after the court ended the parental birthright.

Katie hadn’t even been a full mom for two weeks when an employee called to tell her about a newborn girl who had been admitted to the same hospital.

Katie was shocked and confused at the prospect of having another baby, but her instincts told her to do it.

“I know I’m crazy, but God says yes,” Katie recalled, “and for the next ten minutes and subsequent phone calls that afternoon, I was like, ‘I know I’m crazy, but God tells me yes. to say, “keeps coming out of my mouth.”

Baby Hana was only a few hours old when she arrived at Katie’s house, but when Katie took one look at Hannah’s hospital bracelet, she made a surprising discovery.

The new mom noticed that Hannah’s mother’s name was the same as Grayson’s on her bracelet, so she checked Hannah’s adoption papers and found that the mother’s date of birth was also the same, but her two children appeared to be completely different.

“Grayson is half African American,” Katie said on her blog, “with lovely darker skin and dark curly hair.” “Baby Girl’s skin tone is pale white, and her hair is straight red-blonde.”

Katie searched found the biological mother of her children and arranged for a DNA test, which revealed Grayson and Hannah were half-siblings.

“What if Baby Girl had been adopted by a different family?” Katie posed the question in her blog article. “We would never have found her or Grayson’s mother if it hadn’t been for her.” The link would never have been discovered! “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw what had happened.”

Hannah was legally adopted by Katie in December of 2018.

“I had the oddest feeling ever the day I said ‘Yes’ to taking the Baby Girl. I don’t think I’d ever felt an unequivocal call from God until that moment (or whatever higher spirit you personally might believe in).

“My intellect was telling me to say ‘no,’ because it didn’t make sense and wasn’t in my plans, but something within kept compelling me to say ‘yes.’ It’s a miracle, a once-in-a-lifetime chance, whatever you want to call it, but my children have found each other.”

Katie has continued on her single-mother path of fostering and adoption, and she is a true inspiration, defining herself as a “perfectionist making the best of my very imperfect existence” on her Instagram profile, which has over 90,000 followers.

The mother has even found love and adopted another child, Jackson, their younger brother. She is now fostering an adolescent and documenting the struggles and joys on her social media and YouTube channels.

What an incredible lady and mother she is, and what a wonderful lesson to follow our hearts more; for Katie, it has meant finding true happiness.

Please share if you enjoyed Katie’s journey as much as I did.
