In a 2017 interview with The Sun, Jones emphatically stated that he has no plans to marry again, dismissing rumors about a supposed relationship with Elvis’ ex-wife Priscilla Presley.

“I’m still trying to get over that. I don’t think I ever will, so the last thing on my mind is marriage,” he expressed.

Jones clarified to PEOPLE that he and Priscilla are simply friends. “We’re not dating, but we do go out to dinner,” he mentioned.

In another interview with PEOPLE, Jones explained his decision not to remarry, citing the unique history he shared with his late wife as irreplaceable. “I was asked the other day, ‘Would you ever get married again?’” Jones recalled. “I couldn’t because there’s no history with anybody else.”

In September 2022, Jones paid tribute to his late wife, Trenchard, by performing “I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall” on “The Voice.”

“Now this song is very important to me,” he stated. “I try to pick songs that mean a lot to me. And this song is trying to tell you that people that you love, sometimes they need to be backed up. You need to give them strength and encouragement,” he remarked.

During Jones’ emotional performance, fellow judge Anne-Marie couldn’t help but be moved by the poignant rendition.

“I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall” was penned by Bernice Johnson Reagon and originally featured on her 1975 album “Give Your Hands To Struggle: The Evolution Of A Freedom Fighter.
