The Nun’s Shopping Trip That Confused Everyone

A nun walked up to a grocery store checkout counter and calmly placed three items on the belt: a small box of cookies, a bottle of strong rum, and a pack of c*nd*ms.

The young cashier immediately fr*ze.

His eyes darted from the items… to her habit… then back again.

He looked like his brain had just short-circuited trying to make sense of what he was seeing.

The nun simply smiled, completely unbothered.

“Oh, don’t worry, my child,” she said gently. “Everything has a perfectly innocent explanation.”

She pointed to the cookies.

These are just a light snack for later.”

Then the rum.

“This is for our altar wine. Very important for Sunday service.”

Finally, she tapped the pack of c*nd*ms and nodded calmly.

“And these? I use them to cover the rubber tips of my walking cane so it doesn’t slip on wet floors.”

The cashier blinked.

Then exhaled in relief like a man who had just narrowly escaped a scandal he didn’t understand.

“Oh… okay. That actually makes sense,” he said, awkwardly ringing everything up.

The nun smiled again, took her bag, and turned to leave.

But right at the door, she paused, looked back over her shoulder with a playful little wink, and added:

“Oh… and they also help stop people from making squeaky noises when they sneak around at night.” 😂
