Mikayla Demaiter’s days of getting in the way of ice hockey pucks are over, to the relief of her fans who love nothing more than seeing her posts on Instagram

Mikayla Demaiter provided her fans with what she considers to be some late Christmas presents.

Demaiter, 23, is commonly known as: “the world sexiest hockey player” due to her days playing as a goalkeeper in the terrifying sport. She spent many years throwing herself in the way of flying ice hockey pucks and sticks to help her side, the Bluewater Hawks, succeed in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League.

However, in 2019, the Canadian swapped the ice for the camera lens, committing herself to a career of modelling and influencing. Some may even say she is ice hockey’s answer to golf influencing sensation Paige Spiranac. Considering Demaiter has amassed more than 3.1 million followers on Instagram, it’s fair to say she appears to be succeeding.

In her latest post, she wore a white crop top complete with matching mini skirt and a long-sleeved blouse which covered her shoulders and arms. Alongside her photos, she wrote: “Providing you some new lock screen photos, granted you may never want to unlock your phone…”

One fan said she is: “The real life Barbie,” before another fan also described her as: “My Barbie.” A third added: “You can’t be prettier and sexier than this.”

A large group of young women also commented in their droves, with comments saying Demaiter is: “A one in a million Blonde” who is “stunning.” Another female admirer also thinks she trumps Margot Robbie, saying: “So very impressive! No offence, but Barbie has nothing on you.”

Demaiter’s decision to walk away from the ice was one that left her feeling emotional. In a farewell post in 2019, she said: “Dear Hockey. It is time to say goodbye. It is time to turn the page and move to the next chapter of my life, for the first time you will
not be my number one focus.

“I want to thank you for the places we’ve gone together. I also want to thank you for all the friends you have made me. My family sends their best as well. I know they will definitely miss seeing us together.

“I am excited for the future because everything you have taught me will allow me to succeed. There will still be early mornings, new adventures and new friends and I hope that I embrace them with the same love and passion I did for you.”
