Brittany and Chris Tyler from Kentucky went on Today Friday with their three sons to talk about adopting Samuel. He was left at a fire station when he was just a few days old. The family is getting bigger as they’re also in the process of adopting another foster child.

They saved two things from the day they got Samuel: a note from his birth mother and the blanket he was wrapped in when he was left at the fire station. Brittany turned the blanket into a teddy bear so Samuel always has a reminder of his birth mother.

During the show, Samuel held the teddy bear made from the blanket, while his brothers, Judah and Calvin, showed off another teddy bear dressed as a firefighter.

Chris said Samuel is very special to them, and they’re thankful every day to be his parents.

The Tylers shared their story with PEOPLE last month. They had been trying to have a baby for a long time but couldn’t. So, they started fostering children. After adopting Judah and Calvin, they heard about Samuel and immediately wanted to foster him. They officially adopted him on December 18, 2023, and now he’s doing great.

The family is getting even bigger as they’re in the process of adopting a little girl they’re fostering. Samuel really likes her and treats her like a baby doll.
