The 6-foot-1 woman, and size 22 influencer, often explains on her Instagram that she refuses to conform to society\u2019s \u201ctoxic\u201d expectations.

Over the years it had been ingrained in me, that to be feminine meant to be desirable and to be worthy of a good life,\u201d writes the New York-based woman. \u201cI\u2019ve slowly freed myself from these toxic thoughts\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Appearing on Dr. Phil to talk about body positivity, Bible explained she struggled with weight since her childhood. \u201cAt the age of 14, I was about 200lb\u2026I had this personal trainer that was not very nice. They\u2019d tell me if I wanted friends, I\u2019d need to lose weight, that no-one would ever love me if I\u2019m fat.\u201d<\/p>\n

At one point, Bible shares she lost 100 pounds and weighing in at about 235 pounds, she says it \u201cdidn\u2019t solve any of her problems\u201d and she was still unhappy \u201chaving the body everyone wanted.\u201d

\nIn a recent TikTok video that\u2019s hit the eyes of more than 82,000 netizens, Bible is seen wearing a red string bikini, responding to a troll who says, \u201cfat people shouldn\u2019t wear string bikinis.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t like it, look away,\u201d she captions the clip, where she playfully gazes into the camera and mouths, \u201cI don\u2019t care.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some fans were overwhelmingly supportive, expressing their gratitude for the inspiring woman. \u201cI bought my first [bikini] because of you. Seriously,\u201d writes one. A second shares, \u201cYou look amazing, wish I had body confidence too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tucked between the messages of support are the online trolls, many suggesting she lacks self-respect.<\/p>\n

A second asks, \u201cWhere\u2019s your self-respect?\u201d And another offers some advice, \u201cI\u2019m a big [woman] and I say, just because they make it in our size doesn\u2019t mean [you] need to wear it. have some respect for yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crippling complications
\nAnd though the \u201cunapologetic fashion lover\u201d consistently wows her followers with her fabulous fashion, she continues to be the target of trolls \u201chating on individuals with larger bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n

But it might go deeper than people simply body shaming the lovely woman, whose weight makes her vulnerable to a host of medical problems.

\n\u201cAll I see is a lot of strain on her heart and joints etc but again that\u2019s her choice!\u201d writes one user on Facebook. \u201cHowever, the worry is when other health complications arise such as diabetes etc it just puts added pressure on our crippling [national healthcare]!\u201d<\/p>\n

A second netizen shares, \u201cI don\u2019t have a problem with body positivity unless it\u2019s promoting a body composition with very serious health risks as the new normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a full believer in embracing inner beauty and that everyone is entitled to dress how they please but\u2026she is heading for all manner of medical issues from diabetes, heart failure and joint issues.\u201d The comment continues, \u201cI hope she still feels a comfortable in her own skin when she is wheelchair or bed bound. It is so sad that she can\u2019t see the damage she is doing to her health.\u201d
