The \u201cStill Alice\u201d actress never expected her beloved children\u2019s book to end up on a banned list \u2014 but now, she\u2019s speaking out.<\/p>\n

Academy Award-winning actress and author Julianne Moore has expressed shock after learning that her children\u2019s book, \u201cFreckleface Strawberry,\u201d has been banned in certain schools operated by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

Moore took to Instagram on February 16, 2025, to share her dismay over the decision, which she attributes to the Trump administration.

In her post, Moore described \u201cFreckleface Strawberry\u201d as a deeply personal and semi-autobiographical story about a seven-year-old girl who initially dislikes her freckles but eventually embraces them.<\/p>\n

She wrote the book to teach children about self-acceptance, noting that \u201cwe all struggle, but are united by our humanity and our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
