Though married since 1997, the mother-of-two revealed in 2023 that they had been secretly separated since 2016 and had lived in separate homes for years.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, they have continued to navigate their relationship in a unique way. Rodriguez \/ Getty<\/p>\n<p>Jada\u2019s 2020 confession about her affair with Alsina (who is 21 years her junior) during their separation put their marriage under the microscope.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, both the pair denied the affair, but Alsina himself said in a bombshell interview with radio host Angela Yee: &#8220;I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership. Credit: Paras Griffin \/ Getty<\/p>\n<p>Even after years of turbulence, the pair still appear connected.<\/p>\n<p>The Girls Trip actress has maintained that they are &#8220;still figuring it out&#8221;, while the actor acknowledged in an interview that his wife&#8217;s comments about their relationship were a wake-up call for him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties,\u201d he reflected, per Variety.<\/p>\n<p>Still, their public interactions remain rare.
