\nAdam Sandler loudly stomped out of the Dolby Theatre after Conan O\u2019Brien singled him out from the star-studded audience for wearing a casual outfit to the glitzy Academy Awards.<\/p>\n

On March 2, Hollywood\u2019s A-list worked the red carpet outside of Los Angeles\u2019s Dolby Theatre, ahead of the 97th Academy Awards that honors the best of the best in Hollywood.<\/p>\n

Making their style statements at the last big awards bash of the season, stars pulled out all the stops with their most spectacular looks that included dramatic silhouettes, sweeping gowns, custom suits and a whole lot of sparkle.<\/p>\n

And then there was Adam Sandler.<\/p>\n

Comfy and casual
\n\u201cFor such a prestigious night, it\u2019s important that everyone is properly dressed, okay?\u201d said TV funnyman Conan O\u2019Brien, 61, who was hosting the 2025 Oscars. \u201cYou\u2019re dressed well\u2026Adam\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

During his highly anticipated opening monologue, O\u2019Brien took some shots at Sandler, who was seated in the audience, surrounded by elegant celebrities in their best Oscars\u2019 outfits.<\/p>\n

Conan, what\u2019s up my brother?\u201d said the 58-year-old star of Happy Gilmore, who was sitting in an aisle seat, his head covered by the hood of the light blue sweatshirt that he wore with some shorts and Steph Curry Kicks. \u201cWhat\u2019s going on, man?\u201d<\/p>\n

After O\u2019Brien asks Sandler what he\u2019s wearing, the comedian stutters a bit and strikes back, saying: \u201cNobody even thought about what I was wearing until you brought it up.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Brien then tells the star of 50 First Dates, \u201cYou\u2019re dressed like a guy playing video poker at 2 a.m., Adam.\u201d<\/p>\n

Defending himself in typical Sandler style, the Grown Ups star argued, \u201cYou know what, I like the way I look, because I\u2019m a good person. I don\u2019t care about what I wear or what I don\u2019t wear. If my snazzy gym shorts and fluffy sweatshirt offend you so much that you had to mock me in front of my peers\u2026\u201d

\nSwiftly apologizing from the stage, O\u2019Brien feigned remorse and looked down at the podium that he stood behind.<\/p>\n

Rising to this feet, Sandler told the audience: \u201cI\u2019m going. I\u2019m leaving, I have to!\u201d<\/p>\n

As the crowd shouted, \u201cno!\u201d and begged him to stay, the comedian joked, \u201cNo, it\u2019s not you, it\u2019s him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pointing at O\u2019Brien, who was trying to contain his laughter through the hilarious exchange, Sandler then said, \u201cYou caused this!\u201d
