The doctor assessed she may have undergone a lip lift, a surgery that reduces the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip that can make the patient appear younger by flattening out some smile lines, in addition to a face and neck lift or laser resurfacing surgery \u2014 a newer treatment that burns away the first layer of skin, which allows fresh, youthful skin cells to grow underneath.
