On the way, he saw a river and decided to have a dip.<\/p>\n
Since he had only two ropes to tie the donkeys to a tree, he looked around, wondering how to tie the third one.<\/p>\n
He saw a sage and sought his help if he could give him a rope to tie the third donkey.<\/p>\n
The sage didn\u2019t have a rope, but he had a suggestion.<\/p>\n
He told the farmer, \u201cLet the third donkey see you tying the other two donkeys to a tree. Then you pretend to tie this one also.\u201d<\/p>\n
The farmer did as he was told and went for a dip in the river.<\/p>\n
Coming back, he thanked the sage and saw that the donkeys stood exactly at the same spot where he had left them.<\/p>\n
He untied the two donkeys and patted the third one to start moving.<\/p>\n
After going a little distance, imagine his surprise when the third donkey stood still at the same spot.<\/p>\n
Cajoling, kicking, or talking didn\u2019t help with the donkey, refusing to move from the spot.<\/p>\n
The farmer went back to Sage, who told him, \u201cUntie the third donkey.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBut,\u201d protested the farmer, \u201cI have not tied him.\u201d<\/p>\n
The sage asked, \u201cYou know. But does the donkey know that?\u201d<\/p>\n
Sure enough, the farmer went back and pretended to untie the donkey.<\/p>\n
The donkey immediately moved as though released and walked over to join the other two donkeys.<\/p>\n
Moral of the story:<\/p>\n
We are all, also tied up by too many imaginary ropes\u2026\u2026 which are really non-existent.<\/p>\n

The sheepdog says: \u201cI herded the sheep into the barn, just like you asked!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou sure you got them all?\u201d The farmer replies.<\/p>\n
\u201cYep! All 40 of them!\u201d Says the sheepdog.<\/p>\n
\u201c40? But I only have 37 sheep.\u201d Replies the farmer.<\/p>\n
The sheepdog answers: \u201cI know. I rounded them up for you.\u201d<\/p>\n
