\nWhile working on a message the pastor heard a knock at his office door.<\/p>\n
It was early one morning when the Pastor heard a noise outside his door.<\/p>\n
When he opened it, he found a donkey standing outside, which immediately fell over dead.<\/p>\n
Not exactly knowing what to do about the situation, he called the local sheriff and told him about what was laying before him.<\/p>\n
The sheriff couldn\u2019t resist jabbing at the Minister and said, \u201cPastor, I thought the first duty of the Minister was to bury the dead.\u201d<\/p>\n
Without hesitation, the Pastor said, \u201cNo, the first duty of the Minister is to notify the next of kin.\u201d

\u201cCome in,\u201d he invited.
\nA contrite-looking man in threadbare clothes came in, pulling a goat on a rope, \u201cCan I talk to you for a minute?\u201d asked the man with his hat in his hand.<\/p>\n
Wordlessly, the pastor indicated the chair and the man sat down in it gingerly. The goat proceeded to sniff around the office.<\/p>\n
With one eye on the animal and one on the man, the pastor folded his hands on his desk and leaned forward, curious to hear the fellow\u2019s story, \u201cWhat can I do for you?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMy family is hungry,\u201d started the man. \u201cSo I stole this goat. But I feel that I have sinned. Would you please take it?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cCertainly not,\u201d said the minister.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen what should I do with it?\u201d asked the man.<\/p>\n
\u201cGive it back to the man you stole it from, of course!\u201d the pastor explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cI offered it to him, but he refused to take it. Now what should I do?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIn that case,\u201d the minister said, \u201cIt would be all right for you to keep it and feed your family.\u201d<\/p>\n
That seemed to settle things as far as the man was concerned.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you for your help, sir.\u201d<\/p>\n
With a lighter step, he walked out of the office, leading the goat on the rope behind him.<\/p>\n
Later that afternoon when the minister returned home, he said to his wife as he walked in, \u201cI have got a story to tell you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI have something to tell you first,\u201d she exclaimed. \u201cSomeone has stolen your goat!\u201d<\/p>\n

An old man, a boy, and a donkey were travelling.<\/p>\n
The boy rode the donkey while the man walked.<\/p>\n
In the first town they went to, the people all said, \u201cHow hard for that old man who has to walk!\u201d<\/p>\n
The two travelers heard this and decided that the boy should walk and the old man should ride.<\/p>\n
In the next town, people whispered, \u201cWhat a shame, he makes the little boy walk!\u201d<\/p>\n
So the pair decided that they should both ride.<\/p>\n
In the third town, people all muttered about how cruel it was to make the donkey work so hard.<\/p>\n
So the boy and the old man decided to carry the donkey.<\/p>\n
On the way to the next town, they had to go across a bridge. As they walked across it, they slipped and the donkey fell in to the river and drowned.<\/p>\n
The moral of the story is \u2013 If you try to please everyone, you will eventually end up losing your ass.<\/p>\n

There were these two guys out hiking when they came upon an old, abandoned mine shaft.<\/p>\n
Curious about its depth, they threw in a pebble and waited for the sound of it striking the bottom, but they heard nothing.<\/p>\n
They went and got a bigger rock, threw it in and waited. Still nothing.<\/p>\n
They searched the area for something larger and came upon a railroad tie. With great difficulty, the two men carried it to the opening and threw it in. While waiting for it to hit bottom, a goat suddenly darted between them and leapt into the hole.<\/p>\n
The guys were still standing there with astonished looks upon their faces from the actions of the goat when a man walked up to them. He asked them if they had seen a goat anywhere in the area and they said that one had just jumped into the mine shaft in front of them.<\/p>\n
The man replied, \u201cOh, no! That couldn\u2019t be my goat. Mine was tied to a railroad tie.\u201d<\/p>\n
