The centenarian paused, contemplated the question deeply, and looked over at his elderly wife. She was sitting quietly beside him in a rocking chair, a knowing, subtle smile playing around the corners of her lips.<\/p>\n
He hesitated for just a brief moment before turning back to the reporter to explain:<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, son, it all goes back to the day we got married when I was just 21 years old. Right after the wedding, the wife and I made a solemn pact. Without batting an eye, Johnny handed the shopkeeper a handful of brightly colored Monopoly cash and immediately turned around to walk out of the store with the toy.<\/p>\n
The shopkeeper blinked in surprise, looked down at the fake currency, and quickly called out, \u201cExcuse me, little boy! Come back here, this isn\u2019t real money.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnny completely ignored him and just kept walking toward the mall exit.<\/p>\n
The shopkeeper raised his voice and repeated himself, but Johnny kept right on moving.<\/p>\n
