Jason Aldean and Kid Rock have announced they will be hitting the road for a seven-stop small town \u201cRock the Country\u201d tour. From April to July 2024, the pair will be headlining music festivals in American small towns, joined by other notable country musicians at each stop.<\/p>\n
The two will make stops in Kentucky, Georgia and South Carolina among other states.<\/p>\n
In a press release, Kid Rock said, \u201cRock the Country is for everyone who makes this country run and loves America. Nobody knows how to party like Small Town America.\u201d
\nThe tour comes on the heels of backlash Jason Aldean received over the past year for his \u201cTry That in a Small Town\u201d song and music video. Online criticism perceived the song\u2019s lyrics and music video as portraying a pro-gun violence stance and lynching sentiments. Aldean called those references meritless and dangerous.<\/p>\n
