The courtroom was quiet as the defense lawyer stood up and walked toward him with a confident smile.<\/p>\n
\u201cMr. Sam,\u201d the lawyer began, \u201cdid you actually see my client commit this burglary?\u201d<\/p>\n
Sam adjusted himself in the witness chair and nodded.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, sir,\u201d he said. \u201cI saw him plainly take the goods.\u201d<\/p>\n
The lawyer raised an eyebrow.<\/p>\n
