Just before takeoff, an attorney boarded and took the aisle seat next to them.<\/p>\n
Settling in, the attorney kicked off his shoes and wiggled his toes when the physician by the window said, \u201cI think I\u2019ll get up and grab a Coke.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNo problem,\u201d the attorney offered. \u201cI\u2019ll get it for you.\u201d<\/p>\n
As soon as he left, one of the physicians picked up the attorney\u2019s shoe and spat in it.<\/p>\n
When the attorney returned with the Coke, the other physician said, \u201cThat looks good\u2014I think I\u2019ll have one too.\u201d<\/p>\n
Again, the attorney kindly went to fetch it. While he was gone, the second physician picked up the other shoe and spat in it as well.<\/p>\n
When the attorney returned, they all sat back and enjoyed the flight. But as the plane landed, the attorney slipped his feet into his shoes and immediately realized what had happened.<\/p>\n
Shaking his head, he sighed, \u201cHow long must this war between our professions continue? This animosity\u2026 this bitterness\u2026 this spitting in shoes and p.i.ssing in Cokes?\u201d<\/p>\n
A doctor and a lawyer are chatting at a party, just trying to relax.<\/p>\n
But every five minutes, someone interrupts the doctor:<\/p>\n
\u201cCan you look at this rash?\u201d<\/p>\n
My back\u2019s been k.i.l.ling me\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDoes this mole look weird?\u201d<\/p>\n
After an hour of free check-ups, the doctor sighs and asks the lawyer:<\/p>\n
\u201cHow do you deal with people asking for free legal advice outside of work?\u201d<\/p>\n
The lawyer smirks:<\/p>\n
Simple. I give them advice\u2026 then I mail them a bill.\u201d<\/p>\n
The doctor blinks.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re joking.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNot even a little.\u201d<\/p>\n
Inspired (and mildly vengeful), the doctor decides to try it.<\/p>\n
The next day, he writes up bills for everyone who bugged him at the party.<\/p>\n
As he heads to the mailbox to send them off\u2026<\/p>\n
He finds something already waiting for him.<\/p>\n
A bill.<\/p>\n
