An old farmer was hauling a load of manure when he was stopped by a state trooper. \u201cYou were speeding,\u201d the cop said. \u201cI\u2019m going to have to give you a ticket.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYep,\u201d the farmer said as he watched the trooper shoo away several flies.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese flies are terrible,\u201d the trooper complained.<\/p>\n

\u201cYep,\u201d the farmer said. \u201cThose are circle flies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s a circle fly?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThem flies that circle a horse\u2019s ass,\u201d answered the farmer. \u201cThem are circle flies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou wouldn\u2019t be calling me a horse\u2019s ass, would you?\u201d The trooper angrily asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNope, I didn\u2019t,\u201d the farmer replied. \u201cBut you just can\u2019t fool them flies.

\nOne day, I asked my English teacher,<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy do we ignore some letters in pronunciation eg. the letter H \u2026in Hour, Honour. \u2026etc. ???\u201d<\/p>\n

My English teacher said, \u201cWe are not ignoring them; they\u2019re considered silent \u201c\u2026\u2026. (I was even more confused???)<\/p>\n

During the lunch break, my teacher gave me her packed lunch and asked me to heat it in the cafeteria.
\nI ate all the food and returned her the empty container\u2026!!!<\/p>\n

My English teacher: \u201cWhat happened? I told you to go and HEAT my food, you are returning me an empty container.\u201d<\/p>\n

I replied, \u201cSir, I thought \u2018H\u2019 was silent.\u201d<\/p>\n

A father and son went hunting together for the first time.<\/p>\n

The father said: \u201cStay here and be very QUIET. I\u2019ll be across the<\/p>\n

field.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few hours later the father heard a blood curdling scream and ran back to his son.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s wrong?\u2019 the father asked, \u201dI told you to be quiet.\u2019<\/p>\n

The boy, bless his heart, answered;<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Look, I was quiet when the snake slithered across my feet, I was quiet when the bear breathed down my neck, I didn\u2019t move a muscle when the skunk climbed over my shoulder, I closed my eyes and held my breath when the wasp stung me, I didn\u2019t cough when I swallowed the gnat, I didn\u2019t cuss or scratch when the poison oak started itching but when the two squirrels crawled up my pant legs and said, \u2018Should we eat them here or take them with us?\u2019<\/p>\n
