{"id":2908,"date":"2023-12-31T16:42:23","date_gmt":"2023-12-31T16:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/?p=2908"},"modified":"2023-12-31T16:42:23","modified_gmt":"2023-12-31T16:42:23","slug":"arizona-teen-walks-into-montana-police-station-after-vanishing-nearly-4-years-ago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/?p=2908","title":{"rendered":"Arizona teen walks into Montana police station after vanishing nearly 4 years ago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alicia Navarro, an Arizona teen who went missing nearly four years ago, turned up at a Montana police station, officials said Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Navarro, who is now 18, reported to a Montana police station in a small town located 40 miles south of the Canadian border.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlicia Navarro has been located. She is by all accounts, safe. She is by all accounts healthy, and she is by all accounts happy,\u201d said Jose Miguel Santiago with the Glendale Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>The teen, who was identified as autistic at the time, disappeared from her home in Glendale, Arizona in the early morning hours of September 15, 2019. She left her parents a note saying she was leaving, but would return.<\/p>\n<p>Her disappearance sparked a massive search that involved local police as well as the FBI and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.<\/p>\n<p>According to police thousands of tips were received, but none led to the teen.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/320587240_899600937864778_6008058999722718886_n-233x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"233\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2909\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first time anyone heard from Navarro was this week when she showed up at the Montana police station and identified herself as Alicia Navarro.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe basically asked for help to clear her off of a missing juvenile list,\u201d Jose Santiago, a spokesman for Glendale police, said during a press conference. \u201cShe is not in any kind of trouble. She is not facing any kind of charges.\u201d<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/F2AGYw3aAAAwL1l-300x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2910\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/F2AGYw3aAAAwL1l-300x300-1.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/F2AGYw3aAAAwL1l-300x300-1-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case is far from being closed,\u201d police said. \u201cWe are continuing to investigate her whereabouts for the last four years and will do so alongside our federal partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Navarro was \u201cvery apologetic\u201d and hoped she could have a relationship with her mother after the stress of the last four years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to give glory to God for answering prayers and for this miracle,\u201d her mother said in a video posted on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor everyone who has missing loved ones, I want you to use this case as an example,\u201d she said. \u201cMiracles do exist.
