Guests in a pet\u2019s home are always welcome, may experience cuddles, odd sounds or smells, fur sharing and a love that comes without demands.<\/p>\n

The following story is about what a man did for love when his girlfriend refused to welcome his dog Molly into their home and demanded he give her up.<\/p>\n

A few years ago, a Reddit user named Getzen shared a troubling situation he was having with his girlfriend of four years.<\/p>\n

Ready to take their relationship to the next step, the couple decided to move in together, however, the girlfriend did not like dogs, specifically Molly, the man\u2019s adorable beagle.<\/p>\n

Believing she had the upperhand, the girlfriend delivered an ultimatum.<\/p>\n

Either she or Molly goes.

Torn, the man, from Virginia, placed an ad on Craigslist, a classified ads website, titled: \u201cFree to any willing home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with a cute photo of the floppy-eared, doe-eyed dog, he writes: \u201cMy girlfriend does not like my beagle Molly. So I have to re-home her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Redditor goes on to explain how she\u2019s \u201ca purebred from a wealthy area,\u201d and she \u201clikes to play games,\u201d but isn\u2019t \u201ctotally trained.\u201d<\/p>\n

The advertisement continues, \u201cHas long hair so she\u2019s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done. Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will never greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you\u2019re down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!\u201d<\/p>\n

If in fact Molly was \u201cmean as hell,\u201d it would explain why the girlfriend didn\u2019t like her.<\/p>\n

Plot twist<\/p>\n

But, in an epic plot twist, he ads, \u201cSo\u2026 anyone interested in my 30-year-old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her re-homed ASAP!\u201d<\/p>\n

The ad was first shared almost 10 years ago but is still widely circulated.<\/p>\n

Before the Reddit post was removed, the man shared an update saying, \u201cSorry but she has been re-homed, her original breeders (Her Parents) have taken her back home* Molly & I are looking for a new one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whether this was a joke or not, it still gets across the point that nothing will ever come between a pet and their human.<\/p>\n
