Here are nine of them.<br \/>\n9: BRASS OBJECTS<br \/>\nThe Redditor had captioned the post, where they shared these brass objects, \u201cMy dad bought these at a garage sale. They\u2019re solid brass and open on the inside. Any ideas?\u201d<br \/>\nThe redditors had answered the question of the OP as \u201cfancy stirrups,\u201d and another redditor added, \u201cMy father had a pair of these, just rusty steel, that he brought back from Colombia in the 40\u2019s. Whoever sold them claimed they were from the days of the Spanish conquest, and the holes in the bottom were to let blood out. We believed him!?!\u201d<br \/>\n8: GRABBER BELONGED TO GRANDFATHER<br \/>\nThe person who shared the grabber thing stated that they found the object while cleaning their late grandfather\u2019s closet. There were three claws that were opening and closing on the object, which the owner captioned, \u201cWhat is this thing I found in my grandfather\u2019s closet?\u201d<br \/>\nThe netizens stated, \u201cIt\u2019s to pick up sugar cubes.\u201d They explained that the object was used to grab small things, such as sugar cubes or olives.<br \/>\n7: WOODEN KNOB WITH SPIKES<br \/>\nA Redditor shared a wooden knob with spikes on one end, which they captioned, \u201cA friend received this as a wedding gift many years ago. The gifter wouldn\u2019t tell him what it was for. Any ideas?\u201d<br \/>\nAnother Redditor had explained, \u201cIt\u2019s a cheese holder. Let\u2019s slice cheese without handling the block.\u201d<br \/>\n6-MYSTERY GIFT FROM ONLINE SHOPPING<br \/>\nA Redditor received two weird objects as a mystery gift she received from a fundraiser where they ordered cookies. The OP explained, \u201cPlastic strap on cotton swabs? Unidentified object received in a recent cookie order from Online Fundraising Shop. They are made of rubbery plastic. They don\u2019t seem related to any of the food items in my purchase (frozen cookie dough and soup mix). I emailed the company but haven\u2019t heard back. No markings.\u201d<br \/>\nA Redditor had replied, \u201cI think they are supposed to be a gag. You put the rubber part around your ear, and it looks like you have a cotton swab sticking out of your head. Kinda like the old arrow headband trick. As to why they send it, I\u2019ve received all sorts of weird \u2018gifts\u2019 when I ordered from online stores; it\u2019s usually the overseas ones that do it.\u201d<br \/>\n5: WEIRD AUSTRIAN STREET OBJECTS<br \/>\nA Redditor who was having a trip in Austria saw some weird objects in the street, which the Redditor captioned their post as, \u201cPhallic object seen today in Innsbruck, Austria.\u201d<br \/>\nA Redditor explained, \u201cIts a Bollard.\u201d and the other Redditors stated that their purpose was to show directions.<br \/>\n4: HOUSEWARMING GIFT<br \/>\nAnother Redditor had described the object\u2019s purpose as \u201ca housewarming gift. It\u2019s half wood, half marble, two semi-circle dips, and a mini spoon. What the heck is it?\u201d<br \/>\nAnother Redditor explained, \u201cIt\u2019s salt and pepper \u201cpinch pot\u201d.\u201d<br \/>\n3: SUPERMARKET STRANGE GIFT<br \/>\nAs the Redditor was buying groceries from the local supermarket, the cashier had gifted a strange object. As the Redditor stated, \u201cI bought a big pack of groceries from a local supermarket; they throw in this item as a free gift.\u201d<br \/>\nA Redditor explained the purpose of the object as, \u201cIt\u2019s an orange peeler.\u201d<br \/>\n2- TIN SYLINDIR<br \/>\nAnother Redditor shared an object they found inside a jewelry box. The object was in a tube shape, as the Redditor described it: \u201cFound in an old woman\u2019s jewelry box. Open each end and hollow inside. Very light (maybe tin). Inhaler for size,\u201d where the Redditor took a picture with an inhaler to show it\u2019s size.<br \/>\nA Redditor had explained, \u201cTube to hold a scarf around your neck without having to knot it. You put corners of the scarf thru it from opposite ends. and pull or snug it up to your neck with the \u201cjewel\u201d next to your neck.\u201d<br \/>\n1: MARBLE OBJECT<br \/>\nThe Redditor shared an object they found in their grandparent\u2019s house. The object was shaped like an egg, and it was made out of marble. The Redditor described it as a \u201csmall marble-like object, sitting on a desk at my grandparents\u2019 house, that fits in a hand.\u201d<br \/>\nA Redditor explained, \u201cMy elementary school teacher had something similar to a paperweight. Definitely paperweight unless its heavy enough to keep books upright.\u201d<br \/>\nWhat do you think?
