The park is a sanctuary for dozens of African elephants, encompassing two distinct species.
\nThe smaller forest elephant, Loxodona cyclotis, weighs up to 4 tons, while the larger and more iconic bush elephant, Loxodonta africana, is the one we\u2019re more familiar with.<\/p>\n

It was a baby bush elephant that found itself stuck in a muddy pit, struggling to climb out.

The elephant herd, a tight-knit and caring community, did their best to help the little one.
