Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was clearly distraught while describing the very real possibility of a Trump victory. The far-left congresswoman warned that Trump being democratically elected by the people would ensure the end of Democracy, adding \u201cit\u2019s not a joke.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to understand what we are staring down in this country. If Donald Trump is elected president of the United States, we do not know if there will be a verifiable next election that has integrity,\u201d she said. \u201cHe already tried to, we saw on January 6th, he tried to overturn the results of a presidential election by force, by inciting a riot. And I, you know, I think we need to be very, very realistic about the grave, grave impacts of a Donald Trump election. It is not a game. We need to protect our democracy and ideally it\u2019s going to be on progressive values,\u201d the \u201csquad\u201d Democrat continued.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the interview, Ocasio-Cortez was asked about concerns over President Biden\u2019s age and mental fitness. According to January\u2019s Harvard\/CAPS Harris poll, 63 percent of registered voters said they have \u201cdoubts\u201d about Biden\u2019s mental fitness and ability to run the country. An additional 69 percent of respondents said Biden is too old to be president.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about voter concerns, Ocasio-Cortez attempted to spin the question on Trump. \u201cI mean, I think right now, when it comes to the President\u2019s age, folks are talking about how he\u2019s 81 But we have to look at first of all, Donald Trump is around the same age of 77 years old, they could have gone to high school together,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd beyond that, Donald Trump has 91 indictments.
