Tears of joy, that is.<br \/>\nWell, you\u2019re in luck, because today we\u2019ve found such a story, one to remind you of the power of family values and the sheer love felt between one grandfather and his growing number of grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>One Oregon grandfather, Doug Hayes, is determined to give his grandchildren a special gift every Christmas. Even he might have outdone himself this year, though, by shopping a gift that\u2019s gone viral for all the right reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Let no one say Doug isn\u2019t the MVP of this Christmas when it comes to gifts for grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-639\" src=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/amyhaues-768x512-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/amyhaues-768x512-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/amyhaues-768x512-1.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The grandfather of ten decided he was going to do things a little differently, by gifting a bright yellow school bus.<\/p>\n<p>A school bus? I hear you ask. Yes, a bus so that he can drive them all to school and spend some quality grandchild-grandfather time every day.<br \/>\nFortunately, the video of his grandchildren seeing the present for the first time was uploaded to social media, giving everyone the chance to join in on the cheer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-640\" src=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ward-768x512-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ward-768x512-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ward-768x512-1.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Is that it? You got a bus!\u201d the kids can be heard asking, as they run towards their surprise.<br \/>\nWhen asked why he did it, Doug said: \u201cI thought, gee whiz, maybe there\u2019s some way that I can give them a memory that will last all their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-641\" src=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/bus-768x512-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/bus-768x512-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ourtimenew.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/bus-768x512-1.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As per reports, his grandchildren go to a small Christian elementary school that doesn\u2019t have any school buses. The bus has been named \u201cGrandfather Express\u201d and will give rides year-round.<\/p>\n<p>Doug, now a part-time school bus driver it seems, devised the plan himself and we think it\u2019s an absolutely brilliant one!
