Meghan Markle is set to release a new podcast but reportedly considers herself to be “too academic” for certain subjects.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex has big plans for her deal with Lemonada Media, saying she was “proud” to share the news which will allow her to continue her “love of podcasting”.<\/p>\n

Now an inside source has laid out what we can expect from the 42-year-old’s latest venture. The podcast is supposedly going to be “dynamic” but there are some subjects that the royal won’t approach.<\/p>\n

The source told US Weekly: “[She] wants to do mostly philanthropic-type content. She considers herself too academic for entertainment-only.<\/p>\n

“She doesn\u2019t want the podcast to be celebrity-driven, though she\u2019ll have some stars on.” According to the source, Meghan will \u201cdo some inner reflecting\u201d on the podcast and \u201cwill share stories\u201d from her own life.<\/p>\n

Releasing a statement when signing the podcast deal, which is expected to last eight months, Meghan said: “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting. Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024.”

The deal with Lemonada Media comes after Meghan and Prince Harry parted ways with Spotify. The streaming giant and the Sussexes’ audio production company, Archewell Audio, released a joint statement saying they have “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together”.<\/p>\n

However, an executive at Spotify called the Sussexes “grifters” after they stopped the deal. Bill Simmons, Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetization at Spotify, said in an episode of his own podcast: “The f***ing grifters. That’s the podcast we should have launched with them.”<\/p>\n
