She went on to reveal that she will likely be backing former President Donald Trump in November, adding that a Trump-Kennedy ticket would be \u201cideal.\u201d<\/p>\n
Matteo told Kelly that she voted for Biden in 2020 because she believed he could unite the country after the far-left race riots of 2020. \u201cI never voted in my life. My daughter at that time I guess was like you know, you\u2019re just gonna have to pick the lesser of two evils, and in my mind, I believed Trump was,\u201d she said, adding that she had always \u201cloved\u201d fellow New Yorker Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnder the radar, always loved him. I loved how crass he is. I just didn\u2019t think he had the voice to unify people if the world was really on fire with this whole race issue and everything else that was going on at the time that I didn\u2019t really, I wasn\u2019t paying close enough attention to what was really happening, and it was all super divisive and it was all by design,\u201d the actress continued.<\/p>\n
De Matteo, whose acting credits include roles in Sons of Anarchy, Desperate Housewives and five seasons as a main character on The Sopranos, hinted that she may be open to supporting Trump in 2024. She also praised Robert F. Kennedy Jr., calling him an \u201cold school liberal\u201d who would be a perfect running mate for the former president.<\/p>\n
\u201cKennedy I feel like is the voice old school liberals would have appreciated because he cares about the environment, he\u2019ll sue everybody that is being wronged. He\u2019s fair, he\u2019s classy. He doesn\u2019t bad-mouth people. He\u2019s got a lot going for him that Trump does not, but Trump\u2019s got this \u2026 I mean, look,\u201d de Matteo went on to say. At that point Kelly chimed in to say that Adriana, her character on the HBO classic, would vote for Trump.<\/p>\n
\u201cAdriana will vote for Trump!\u201d de Matteo replied, confirming who she intends to support in November.<\/p>\n
