At a recent Olivia Rodrigo show the former Disney starlet gave birth control to her fans in Missouri, a place where abortion is “completely banned” except in limited exceptions<\/p>\n

Olivia Rodrigo handed out birth control at one of her recent concerts.<\/p>\n

On March 12, fans were able to get their hands on two boxes of Julia, an emergency contraception which is also known as a morning after pill, free condoms and a QR code that linked to abortion resources and the Missouri Abortion Fund.<\/p>\n

Fans have also reported that they were given stickers at the event and according to reports, Olivia is also donating a portion of her tour ticket\u2019s sales to abortion services across the US. Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, fans had a lot to say about Olivia\u2019s gesture.<\/p>\n

One person simply wrote \u201comg yes\u201d while someone else sarcastically posted: \u201cOh no, a young girl is trying to help and educate young people about safe sexual intercourse, birth control and ways they could have an abortion safely and also provides them with said birth control and condoms for free if they want them. What a devil.\u201d

Someone else added: \u201cNot an Olivia Rodrigo fan but her giving out free [birth control] and condoms is amazing! I love seeing it, especially in my home state,\u201d before adding a clapping emoji for good measure.<\/p>\n

However some people were against the idea as one X user wrote: \u201cEveryone who is applauding Olivia Rodrigo for handing out condoms and morning after pills at her concerts needs to know that [eight] year old girls are her fans and wanted to attend her concert. Sorry but I absolutely hate this.\u201d

Fans who attended the show shared pictures of the offerings which included a purple sticker with the words: \u201cFunding abortions? It\u2019s a good idea, right?\u201d which seem to reference her song Bad Idea, Right?

Rodrigo has been outspoken about women\u2019s rights in the past and during her Glastonbury performance back in 2022, which was on the day the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, she had a poignant message for the justices. Olivia and British singer Lily Allen dedicated Allen\u2019s song F*** You to those who helped overturn the decision.<\/p>\n
