He always felt the urge to write a patriotic song and when the shooting down of Korean Air Lines Flight 007 occurred, Lee knew the time was right to unite the nation.<\/p>\n<p>It rose on the country charts, but it wasn\u2019t until the attacks on September 11th that the song became a cultural phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018And I\u2019m proud to be an American Where at least I know I\u2019m free And I won\u2019t forget the men who died Who gave that right to me\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Home Free is an American a cappella group that competed and won the fourth season of The Sing-Off. Comprised of members Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance, Home Free has been sharing their unique sound for years.<\/p>\n<p>Today, they\u2019re joining forces with famed vocalist Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band for this special performance of \u2018God Bless The USA.\u2019<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Home Free - God Bless the U.S.A.
