WARNING, DISTRESSING CONTENT: The mum claims the knife was accidentally launched into the air when she was making the bed, and lodged itself in her little girl’s skull. The pair were pictured walking into A&E in China
They breezily walked into A&E as though it were a simple sprained ankle.
Horrifying footage shows a toddler dressed in pink calmly walking into an A&E in China holding her mum’s hand, with a knife lodged deep into her skull. The mum, called Hu, claimed she was innocently making the bed when she swung a sheet and the knife launched itself into the air.
She even tried to yank out the knife herself, instead of immediately calling an ambulance. But a hospital staff member says otherwise. The mum reportedly confessed to actually first picking up the knife to “scare” her three-year-old daughter, who was throwing a tantrum – but local police still ruled it an accident.
The video was taken outside the Dongchaun People’s Hospital in south-west China. The pair are chillingly calm given the calamity, breezily walking in as though it were a mere sniffle.

A neurosurgeon saved the day and safely removed the blade through performing a craniotomy. This is when a part of the skull is removed, called a “bone flap”, then put back after the operation with titanium screws, reports the Mail.
The toddler is in stable condition, but her condition is still being monitored.
Police have concluded that there was no criminal intent, despite the mum allegedly having earlier wielded the knife.
The mother and daughter had almost matching pink and grey outfits
A doctor told China Business View that the softness of the girl’s skull is the reason she miraculously survived.
They said: “If the girl’s mother had recklessly pulled the knife out, the risk would have been enormous. The correct action was to seek immediate professional medical help.”
Adults, who have harder skulls, have been known to survive such accidents too.
One goat-herder, also from China, was violently mugged and stabbed in the 1990s and had been walking around with the weapon inside him ever since.
This was until 2020, when he was finally freed of his suffering and neurological problems. A nauseating video shows a four-inch knife blade being removed from a farmer’s head after being wedged inside his skull next to his eye socket for 26 years.
The video has blown up on social media(Image: Instagram )
There is a lack of medical specialists in his rural hometown. The knife was kept in his head because there was nobody qualified enough to remove it without a serious risk of killing him or causing more harm.
Doctor Zhang Shuxiang, one of the surgeons, said: “When we found him while on a medical tour of Qinghai, we learned that experts had decided on more conservative treatment, prescribing only painkillers.
