Living life as a major celebrity, recognized everywhere you go and held to ridiculous standards day in, day out, can’t be an easy thing.

One slip, one batch of bad press, and a celebrity’s image can be irreparably damaged. I mean, even the most likable actors, entertainers, athletes, and singers out there find their names being dragged through the mud on occasion. Put simply, there’s very little one can do to ensure that their image always remains squeaky clean – even when they haven’t done anything to sabotage their reputation, there are always people who will do their best to criticize and belittle.

Now, I’m sure we can all agree that there are few celebrities out there who have crafted such an esteemed reputation for themselves as Jennifer Garner.

The 51-year-old rose to fame through starring roles in films such as Daredevil, 13 Going on 30, Elektra, and Pearl Harbor, but she’s also fashioned quite the name for herself as a kind and caring individual.

Not just a talented actress who’s steadily charmed the hearts of America, Garner is also a mom-of-three, sharing daughters Violet and Seraphina Affleck, and son, Samuel Affleck, with ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

Yet beneath Garner’s quaint, girl-next-door persona, the star might just have a side to her that not many know about. In an interview earlier this year.

“The problem with, ‘Oh, she’s so nice’ is that when I have any kind of boundary, people think of it as much more than it actually is. The problem is being recognized on a day where I’m not so nice or when I have blackness in my soul,” Garner said.

“I’ve definitely had days where I just can’t do it. I scowl at people before they can walk up to me. I’m not perfect, and I don’t think I’m rude, but I’m not good at being fake. I’m an open book of a person.”

Even so, ask the majority of fans, and they’ll likely tell you that Garner is as friendly and approachable as they come. Over the years, The Last Thing He Told Me star has proven that she’s down-to-earth in several different ways, despite the fact she’s world-famous and sitting on a net worth said to be close to $80 million.

Which is why it so surprises me that people took the opportunity to be critical of Garner at the weekend when she was spotted out jogging in her residential neighborhood of Brentwood, LA.

As per reports, the 51-year-old was completely makeup free, with her hair tied back in a simple bun.

Garner’s proven in the past that she’s on board with normalizing the female body image and moving away from a society where so much emphasis is placed on looking “perfect” all the time.

That said, certain individuals online were unwilling to miss the chance to take a dig at her.

One individual on Facebook said: “She looks like a platypus, always has.”

Another added: Another single mother! She looks… 60 years old grandma!”

A third wrote: “Old plastic granny.”

“Morphing into a Man?” a fourth stated.

I don’t know about you, but I think Jennifer Garner is beautiful, and she certainly doesn’t deserve criticism for going out without makeup on!
