His mother, Courtney Mims, who recorded the video herself, shared her emotional reaction with WSBT, stating, “As soon as it clicked that it was my son, I couldn’t be stopped. I had to go down there.” She described the experience as unlike anything she had ever felt before, explaining, “I’ve never been as upset or shaken up as I was over something for my son.”
