A woman went shopping one afternoon with her husband.
As they walked past a store window, she suddenly stopped and stared at a beautiful pair of boots on display.
“Oh, I love those,” she said. “They’re perfect.”
Her husband glanced at the price tag and immediately shook his head.
“No chance, love,” he said. “They’re far too expensive.”
The woman looked disappointed, but said nothing. She simply walked on, though it was clear she hadn’t forgotten about the boots.
Later that night, they were lying in bed.
The room was quiet, and the wife was just starting to fall asleep when her husband moved closer and gently placed his hand on her hip.
Then his hand slowly moved lower, resting on her thigh.
The wife opened one eye, turned toward him, and gave him a look.
“I don’t think so, mate,” she said.
Her husband froze.
She pulled the blanket up, rolled away, and added:
“If you’re not prepared to shoe the horse, then you sure as hell ain’t riding it!”
