Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien, who plays Sarah Barlow, was attacked in a street brawl which was filmed by bystanders – with the actress calling the police over the incident

Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien had to call the police after an incident outside her home.

The actress, who plays Sarah Platt on the ITV soap, reportedly tried to break up a fight between teenage girls outside her property in a Manchester suburb. However, she ended up getting attacked.

It’s been reported Tina rushed out of her £1million home in a Manchester suburb, to tell the two girls to stop fighting. But in a dramatic turn of events, Tina then got hit herself.

In footage from The Sun, Tina can be seen having her hair pulled back as she attempted to diffuse the situation. Wearing a striped top and pink jogging bottoms, Tina appeared to grab one of the girls and allegedly told her: “Get away from the f****** house.”

A separate clip shows the actress comforting another youngster. A source told The Sun how Tina had come outside in an attempt to break things up before she was pulled into the row.

They said: “Watching her on Coronation Street, you wouldn’t think in a million years she’d get involved in something like this, especially in such a public place.”

In the clip Tina can also be heard saying: “Let go of her… stop. Let go of her, I just said top. Let go of her.”

The insider also alleged how Tina “has been plagued by problems near her house.” But on this occasion, she “came out to try to deal with it” in a bid to “defend herself and her home.”

The reported incident is said to have taken place last Friday night (March 15) just 10ft from her driveway. Tina later reported the incident to the police.

A spokesperson for Tina told Daily Star: “Tina was the victim of an unprovoked incident outside her home which she has reported to the police.” Tina lives in her cul-de-sac home with her husband Adam Crofts and her two kids. She shares son Beau with her husband.

She also has a 15-year-old daughter Scarlett with former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas.
